Privacy Policy

Overview

Connect.Game ("we", "our", or "us") is a free word puzzle game. We built it to be fun and distraction-free — and that extends to your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), what we do with it (nothing intrusive), and what choices you have.

Data we collect

We collect minimal information to keep the game working and to understand how it is used:

• Game state data — stored only on your device (see Local Storage below).
• Anonymous usage statistics — if analytics are enabled, we may collect aggregate data such as page views, session duration, and country-level location. This data is never linked to an individual.
• Error reports — if the game crashes, basic technical information (browser type, error message) may be logged automatically.

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address for identification purposes, browsing history, or any biometric data.

Local storage

Connect.Game uses your browser's localStorage to save your game progress, statistics, and daily puzzle state. This data lives entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Specifically, we store:

• Your current daily puzzle progress (restored on page refresh)
• Your completed daily puzzle result for today
• Your all-time game statistics (puzzles played, win rate, streak)

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or by using your browser's "Clear site data" option in developer tools.

No tracking or advertising

Connect.Game does not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking scripts. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers or advertisers.

There are no social media tracking pixels, no cross-site tracking cookies, and no fingerprinting.

Third-party services

Connect.Game loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google's servers may log the request, which includes your IP address. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

No other third-party scripts, SDKs, or services are loaded by default.

Children's privacy

Connect.Game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information from any user, no special handling is required. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly address it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is typically nothing to access or delete beyond what is already in your own browser.

To delete all Connect.Game data from your device, open your browser's developer tools, navigate to Application → Local Storage, and remove all entries prefixed with conn_.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Connect.Game after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
